I can spell pretty well, a legacy of having read a dictionary from cover to cover as a youth (we didn't have Harry Potter in those days).

However, my typing is lousy. I have bone-deep burn scars across the fingers of my left hand, and it was in bandages at a formative age, so despite years of effort I cannot touch-type and my left hand habitually hits the keyboard slower than the right leading to characteristic mis-spellings like "fomr" instead of "from". This has become dramatically worse since I suffered a collapsed disc in my neck leading to C7 radiculopathy. This has been treated with injections but the underlying problem still exists.

You are welcome to correct my spelling in talk pages and elsewhere, but please do not switch from British English to American English.
