I am a professional philologist of the older Germanic Languages (Gothic, Old Norse, Old and Middle English, Old and Middle High German, Old Saxon, Old Low Franconian = Old Dutch, Middle Dutch). Sorry, my Frisian is too limited to warrant mentioning in that list. My special interests are in historical phonology, the literature and language of the medieval Germanic language, and dialects.

So far, I have been working on articles in two main areas:

  • Germanic philology. I have contributed to the article on Heinrich von Veldeke. I have a research project (currently on hold) on the transmission and edition of his Eneas. I also worked on the article on Old Dutch. I have been working extensively on the oldest stages of what would later become Dutch, and the crossover dialects into High German and am currently making a nuisance of myself on the talk page of the English entry for "Old Dutch." Sorry for the inconvenience. I also created the article on Wilhelm Braune and Herbert Penzl.
  • Reformed Christianity. I was shocked to find out that no-one had yet written an article on either the Reformed Churches in the Netherlands (Liberated) or the Netherlands Reformed Churches, so I went ahead and wrote those. When I lived in Holland, I was a member in the Liberated Churches (I was, in fact, baptised there as an adult). I have been fixing little things in a number of articles on Calvinism.

As a speaker of Dutch, German, and English, you can find me on Wikipedia of those three languages.
