Structured discussion: It's a pain to archive discussion, and people do a bad job of formatting. Having structured threads and associated metadata would really make things easier.
Image renaming: I believe this is in the works.
Consistent links browsing (what links here, categories, file links, etc.): Currently the navigation systems suck. I think this is in the works.
Consistent wiki markup: The wikimarkup needs an overhaul. I think this is in the works.
Get rid of subst: We should have two namespaces for templates, one that always substs itself, and one that doesn't. Users of the template should not have to determine whether or not to subst it--the creators of it should.
Better integration with Commons: We're half way there, but you can't upload works to Commons from Wikipedia.
