I want to be thoroughly used up when I die, for the harder I work the more I live.
I rejoice in life for its own sake. Life is no "brief candle" for me.
It is a sort of splendid torch which I have got hold of for the moment,
and I want to make it burn as brightly as possible before handing it on to future generations. –
George Bernard Shaw -
A Splendid Torch (1896)
The late
Adrianne Wadewitz got me the year of creation of this beautiful GB Shaw work.
When I was just a young teenager and her a teacher (and PhD student), she welcomed me with open arms as an equal.
I always appreciated that effort she made for me. We lost her much too young and much too soon.
Her innumerable impact to open source, Wiki and education communities was more than a single person could ask.
We miss you, Adrianne, every day. Rest in peace my friend.
