I think I'll spend my time here copy editing poor grammar, spelling and word choice. However, I understand that often the precise language employed in an article is the consequence of a lengthly process of compromise and negotiation to achieve consensus. If in editing an article for clarity and euphony I inadvertently interfere with such sensitive language, generally I will defer to existing article editors.
My personal interests are literature, culture, politics, and PC games. My academic background is in political science and English literature. As articles written by English majors tend to lack glaring language issues, I imagine my edits will largely reside in the other three categories.
