Sir Thomas WattKCMG (1857 – 1947) was a South African politician and cabinet minister.
Watt studied at the University of Glasgow and became a lawyer. In 1883 he emigrated to Natal and settled in Dundee. After serving for Britain in the Anglo-Boer War, he was elected to the Natal Legislative Assembly and became Minister of Justice and Education for the colony and later from 1908 to 1909 a member of the National Convention which drafted the South African Act in terms of which Union was possible the following year. After the unification he became Minister of Posts and Public Works in Louis Botha's cabinet. He served under Botha and Jan Smuts fell to the South African Party in 1924 as Minister of Public Welfare, Home Affairs and Railways. He died in 1947 at the age of 90. (Full article...)

The song is Barn's debut single and is a part of a series of songs by Walker that includes his 2016 single "Alone" and his 2019 collaborative single "Alone, Pt. II" with Ava Max. Abba Thulle was the ibedul, 'paramount chief' of Koror whom the sailor Henry Wilson and his crew met on their voyage to Palau in 1783. His second son Prince Lee Boo became one of the first people from the Pacific Islands to visit Great Britain, but died six months after he departed. He learned of his son's death when Captain John McCluer later visited the islands. Andrew Cheyne wrote about his encounter with Abba Thulle in the book A description of islands in the western Pacific ocean, north and south of the equator. William Lisle Bowles wrote a poem about him entitled Abba Thule's Lament For His Son Prince Le Boo. A horse was named after him that later won the Doncaster Cup in 1790. (Full article...)
James Smart (22 March 1804 – 27 May 1870) was a British police officer who served as head of the City of Glasgow Police from 1848 until his death in 1870, first as chief superintendent before being designated as Glasgow's first chief constable in 1862.

Since Mzoli's opened in early 2003, the restaurant had become a popular gathering spot for Cape Town residents and a tourist attraction. A bonus track titled "Blue Stripes" was included with the single on iTunes. It was their second single as a trio following the departure of Adam Kessler in September 2010. The song is an alternative and indie rock song with lyrics about a protagonist who is poor.

There was a succession dispute following the death of Yutaka Gibbons, the ibedul of the state of Koror, Palau, on November 4, 2021. Gibbons' younger siblings, rechucher-ra-techekii Alexander Merep and bilung Gloria Salii, both initially claimed the title, but Salii would later relent her claim in favour of her son, James Lebuu Littler. Lochar Water is a stream located in Dumfries and Galloway. It flows for about 10 miles or 16 km, mainly in a southerly direction, roughly parallel to the River Nith to the west and the River Annan to the east. It is formed by the confluence of Park Burn and Amisfield Burn, and skirts the eastern side of the town of Dumfries, and flows through an extensive low-lying area and former raised peat land known as Lochar Moss, before flowing into the Solway Firth. Bankend Bridge, part of the B725 road, crosses Lochar Water on the east side of Bankend village. The tidal limit is about 1 km below that. Paraguay competed at the 2020 Summer Paralympics in Tokyo, Japan, from 24 August to 5 September 2021. It was the first time that Paraguay had participated in the Paralympic Games. They sent two competitors: T12 runner Melissa Tillner and S9 swimmer Rodrigo Hermosa. Tillner came last in all three of the races she competed in, but achieved her personal best in all of them.
