The Sorell Bypass is a proposed bypass of Sorell, Tasmania. The proposed bypass as currently proclaimed, consists of two alignments; A Tasman Highway connection to the west and an Arthur Highway connection to east.
The proposed bypass involves staged development as traffic demands dictate. The proposal has been mentioned several times since the proclamation of corridors in 1963,[1] but has been debated heavily since the commencement of the Falls Festival at Marion Bay in 2003.[1]
