Daniel Hellier was a circuit rider in the Methodist Church of Great Britain.

In 1818, he left his hometown to proselytise to the black inhabitants of the West Indies. He remained there for three years.[1]

In 1821, he was assigned to the St. Armand's circuit.[2] Church membership on that circuit increased from seventy-nine to one hundred sixty-three.[1]
