This is Yerpo, a Slovene Wikipedian (also a sysop and a bureaucrat there). In real life, I'm a biologist from Slovenia, specializing in bioacoustics/biotremology and insect behaviour. An ardent science fiction literature devourer in my spare time, I also play tabletop games, research my country's biodiversity, make (mostly crappy) photos, tinker with computers, and design an occasional website. Wikipedia has been the main hobby for me since 2007.

I usually edit biological and Slovenia-related topics, but I spend most of the time over at Slovene Wikipedia, so significant edits here will continue to be rare. Strongly opposed to trivialization of content in the form of recentism, "In popular culture" content etc., I try to deal with it when I have the chance (chiefly at recent year articles). I also contribute to Commons, Meta, and Wikidata, and to the movement's outreach as a founder of the Wikipedians of Slovenia User Group and a Creative Commons Global Network member.
