Thanks; I'm blushing. :-) I can't think of anything at the moment I'm dying to change, although I haven't done any serious vandal-fighting in a long while, and I think I might be harsher on advertisers and people who post libel/smear pieces... I really ought to dust that one off and revise it, but for now you are welcome to quote it.
As to your own essay, I agree with the sentiment: treat people like humans. (I'm not a stickler for "must have a defined speedy code", though most things I think ought to be speedy-deleted fall under one.) In general I like it and think it's far better to err or the side of being too considerate than too inconsiderate! And it did not make my eyes bleed, honest.
