Request reason:

I understand why I was blocked and apologies Philip H Taylor (talk) 19:39, 3 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Putting the legal threats aside, you have solely used this account to promote subjects with which you have a financial conflict on interest. Wikipedia is not a means of promotion. You have said you'll use edit requests, but the belligerent way you've framed such requests up to now gives me no reason to think that this will have any benefit to the encyclopaedia or do anything other than waste more volunteer time. I am also revoking your talk page access, since you have continuously misused it for the same purposes since you were blocked. – Joe (talk) 12:59, 10 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Does that apology include an unequivocal retraction of all the legal threats you have made, as well as an understanding that any further such threat will result in an immediate reblock of your acocunt? —C.Fred (talk) 19:44, 3 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

C.Fred yes it does I retract threats I have made. Philip H Taylor (talk) 04:51, 4 November 2020 (UTC) Philip H Taylor (talk) 17:06, 5 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If you were to be unblocked, what areas would you be contributing in? Ideally, these should be ones well removed from your conflict of interest. —C.Fred (talk) 19:11, 5 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

C.Fred I was hoping to get nicolr couch article replaced as she had 3 good references and I have found 3 more i mst translate and put on her talk page to request the edits. I was in the process of updating it with requests when it was re directed with no notice. Mainly I do not plan on doing edits just reqest sources to get her article up to date. She has had the article since 2008. Philip H Taylor (talk) 19:58, 5 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

And that's one of my concerns: you're right back to the problematic area. One of the suggestions put forward was to unblock your account but partially block you from article space: you could not directly edit articles, but you could request edits on the talk page. —C.Fred (talk) 20:38, 5 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Regarding sources...
  • [1] mentions Couch twice in the context of the band Phantom Blue,
  • [2] mentions Couch twice in the context of the band Phantom Blue,
  • [3] mentions Couch only in the context of being a member of Phantom Blue

None of the coverage of Nicole Couch is significant, certainly nothing to warrant a stand alone article and the same goes for Gigi Hangach I’m afraid. Theroadislong (talk) 21:37, 5 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Do you have a reliable source that shows they have moved on? CaptainEek Edits Ho Cap'n! 07:32, 6 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Linda McDonald is definitely notable in her own right with multiple bands and collaborations, Kim Nielsen is borderline and Michelle Meldrum is notable because she went on to form notable band Meldrum, we are not here to promote your record label and if that’s your only purpose I don’t see that a lifting of your block would be helpful to the project. Theroadislong (talk) 08:29, 6 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

CaptainEek only their record label pages and Facebook pages. whih are listed on their record label artist page. If their record label is not a reliable source then I do not know what to say. Linda Mcdonald is on Gigis new project along with ironmaidens guitarist courtney cox 1. https://www.rstelabel.com/nicole-couch 2. https://www.rstelabel.com/nicole-couch Philip H Taylor (talk) 08:45, 6 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The record label is not a reliable source I'm afraid, as it is not independent. Unless some independent source (think news sites, magazines, newspapers) have mentioned it, then it is clearly not important enough for us to cover either. CaptainEek Ok thank you captain. They are both on very big solo projects I expect when they are done and released there will be plenty of coverage on them as I already have interest for interviews on their upcoming projects from RollingStones Magazine, Babblemouth and a few distributed music magazines. I appreciate your friendly tone compared to some others that seem to be a bit abrupt with their replies and not take the time to explain to a new user. That I appreciate deeply. Have a nice day and keep safe. I know nicoles website mentions her label but it is not published yet she is still in the process of building it But by the sound it probably wont be useful. I am googling things about helping me with wikipedia so I am not wasting you and others time. is my block going to be lifted? or do i just have to wait for someone else to do the edits? which they have not been edited in years? Have a good day and keep safe. Philip H Taylor (talk) 09:29, 6 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This [4] is a press release and is not a reliable source, neither are interviews. I'm sorry you think I am abrupt, I think of it more as succinct. Theroadislong (talk) 09:38, 6 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Theroadislong yes i seen that at the top thats why i removed the link as its not useful. I am trying to learn from google so I am not wasting time but it would be useful if I am unblocked I will not be doing edits only request on artists talk page when i have reliable sources. I am getting there slowly in good faith. Thank you. Have a good weekend and keep safe. Philip H Taylor (talk) 09:56, 6 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
