{{helpme-helped}I to exercise my right to vanish. I want my entire account to be deleted. How may I go around doing this? The reference articles were long, winding, and vague at beast. Thanks.
- You cannot delete an article, as it is legally and technically impossible. The best option is to have all the subpages deleted, and abandon it. You can also get a rename, although that may not help a lot. —fetch·comms 22:52, 6 June 2010 (UTC)
- You may simply blank your talk page and place {{retired}} on it. If you really want to totally disappear, you should ask at WP:BN for a bureaucrat to rename you to a generic username. Sorry to see you go. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 22:54, 6 June 2010 (UTC)
- (edit conflict) Accounts on Wikipedia aren't ever deleted; to excercise your right to vanish, simply stop editing. If you choose to do this, it is recommended that you put {{retired}} on your user page. If there are any of your user subpages that you want deleted, just add {{db-u1}} to them.
