This infobox used to say I like to keep conversations together but that was before I accumulated 3 million talk pages in my watchlist. So now I see the point, if you post on the other guys talkpage, he gets a "new message" bar. Yes, I know, I can clean out my watchlist but it fills up again almost immediately, last year I did one edit every two months, now I'm doing them every two minutes. If you've bothered to read this far, basically I'm saying this infobox no longer has any purpose and you've wasted your time reading it - go ahead and do whatever you like.
