If you leave me a message about an article, I may move it to that article's talk page without further notification. The best thing to do is to make your comment on that article's talk page, leaving only a brief message here to let me know about it.
Note that I do not always follow the optional 'BOLD, revert, discuss cycle' - sometimes WP:BRB is more appropriate. See WP:BRD-NOT, and please do feel encouraged to engage in discussions I start on article talk pages.
I am quite fussy about reliable sources - see WP:SCHOLARSHIP and WP:QUESTIONABLE. Books are not automatically reliable sources, even if they come from a "big" publisher. A lot of popular "factual" books are written to entertain and inform, but don't necessarily pass the more stringent tests. Please don't be offended if I don't accept the pedigree of your favourite book - it's not necessarily wrong, but it I may feel there's an objective reason for thinking it doesn't have the scholarly traceability it needs to be considered "reliable".
I blank this page from time-to-time, removing finished conversations.
The Parson’s Cat is busy and is going to be on Wikipedia in off-and-on doses, and may not respond swiftly to queries. |
