User talk:Zocky/2002

Zocky, wellcome to Wikipedia. You've made quite nice contributions to Maribor article. As you said there are some Slovene cities in the City listing, which are hardly that. Yes, I known what a city should mean, but you should check some Alabama's cities which have just 1 thousand citizens. I live in the same place as you wrote you do - between Lj and Mb, that is exactly in Celje :) Kindest regard. (Lep pozdrav). --XJamRastafire 09:48 Oct 15, 2002 (UTC)

Welcome, Zocky! Thanks for helping with Pol Pot. I'm trying to find just the right balance, so the article will be NPOV. --Uncle Ed

Hello, and welcome. Yes, the material is a paste, no, I make no secret of it. As you've noticed, the source is in the public domain. ... So far as Military of Slovenia goes, why not NPOV the article yourself? You seem to know a bit about the history. I don't know how to do it myself, as I'm not aware of the surrounding circumstances (though I do remove parts I notice & take to be biased). Otherwise I'd be glad to help. Best, Koyaanis Qatsi p.s. I think it's in bad form to remove so much information from an article, especially material which is not conspicuously biased; better would be to NPOV it or leave it but comment in talk and in the summary field.

re: slowing down: the site has been lagging so I worked on them all at once and submitted and went to start dinner because I didn't want to watch it take 3 minutes to save. So far as the information itself goes, I'm expanding articles which already exist. I'm nearly as suspicious of the U.S. govt as you are, but you can be sure I'll continue adding the info, correcting whatever bias I see. If you'd help me do the same, or recommend friends to help me do the same, I'd be grateful. Best, Koyaanis Qatsi

Actually, the starting point on all these country articles (and I do mean all) was the CIA World Factbook. ^_^
Your version was much better, and you're right I should take more care in importing the info--there were parts you removed that I should have caught first. Koyaanis Qatsi
