Valparaiso (/ˌvælpəˈreɪzoʊ/ VAL-pə-RAY-zoh), colloquially Valpo, is a city and the county seat of Porter County, Indiana, United States.[4] The population was 34,151 at the 2020 census. It is part of the Chicago metropolitan area.
