Vennila Veedu (transl. Vennila's House) is a 2014 Indian Tamil-language drama film written and directed by Vetri Mahalingam.[1] Produced by P. V. Arun, the film stars Mirchi Senthil, Vijayalakshmi, and Srinda.[2][3] Cinematography is by D. Kannan, editing by V. J. Sabu Joseph, and the soundtrack is scored by Dhanraj Manickam. The film was released on 10 October 2014 to mixed reviews.[4] The film is based on a theme similar to the short story The Necklace by Guy de Maupassant.[5]

"Vennila Veedu" has opened up to mixed reviews from the audience. While the good message and the performance of the actors have gotten thumbs up from critics and audience, the slow narration and background score are turning out to be drawbacks of the film.
