Volpedo is a comune (municipality) in the province of Alessandria, in the Italian region of Piedmont, located about 100 kilometres (62 mi) east of Turin and about 30 kilometres (19 mi) east of Alessandria.
Volpedo borders the following municipalities: Casalnoceto, Godiasco, Monleale, Montemarzino, Pozzol Groppo, and Volpeglino. It is one of I Borghi più belli d'Italia ("The most beautiful villages of Italy").[4]
Painter Giuseppe Pellizza da Volpedo was born in this village.
