It is owned by Perry Broadcasting and broadcasts an urban adult contemporary radio format. The radio studios and offices are on Broadcast Drive at Radio Station Road in North Augusta, South Carolina. WAKB carries the syndicated "Rickey Smiley Morning Show" from Dallas.
