Wallace A. Matthews (born January 3, 1957)[1] is an American journalist and sportscaster based in New York City. He has covered professional boxing,[1] baseball, [2][3] the NFL,[4] the NHL,[5] the NBA,[6] thoroughbred horse racing,[7] and professional tennis for newspapers, television networks and on radio[8] since 1983. He was a columnist at Newsday, the New York Daily News, ESPN.com, Yahoo! Sports[9] and the New York Post.[10] In 2024 he was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame.[1]
