Wantagh (/ˈwɒntɔː/ WAHN-taw) is a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) in the Town of Hempstead in Nassau County, on Long Island, New York, United States. The population was 18,613[4] at the time of the 2020 census.
Wantagh is known as "The Gateway to Jones Beach".[5]
