War 2 is an upcoming Hindi-language action thriller film directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films. It is the sixth installment of YRF Spy Universe. The film stars Hrithik Roshan reprising his role as Major Kabir Dhaliwal with N. T. Rama Rao Jr. marking his Hindi debut, and Kiara Advani. The film serves as a sequel to War (2019).[2]
Announced in April 2023 under the title of War 2, principal photography commenced in October 2023 and has been shot across Mumbai, Salamanca, Abu Dhabi, Kashmir and Italy (Venice, Lake Como, Tuscany, Naples, the Sorrento Peninsula and the Amalfi Coast). The film is edited by Aarif Sheikh, the music composed by Pritam, cinematography was handled by Benjamin Jasper, and the dialogues are handled by Abbas Tryewala. War 2 is scheduled to release on 14 August 2025.[3][4]
