Wierzbica [vjɛʐˈbit͡sa] is a village in Radom County, Masovian Voivodeship, in east-central Poland. It is the seat of the administrative district Gmina Wierzbica.[1] The village lies approximately 18 kilometres (11 mi) south of Radom and 108 km (67 mi) south of Warsaw. Wierzbica belongs to the historic Polish province of Lesser Poland. The village was historically a town from 1469 to 1870, and for most of its history belonged to Lesser Poland's Sandomierz Voivodeship.
