Friendly fire on Wikipedia is when two WP:vandalism fighters end up hitting revert at about the same time. In doing so, the first one reverts the vandalism and the second one reverts the revert and ends up re-vandalizing the page. This, when done through an automated tool, can end up issuing warnings to the vandalism fighter. It can look like this.
