GLAM Boot Camp 2016 will be held at the National Archives in Washington D.C. on June 14–16, 2016. GLAM Boot Camp is a 3-day training workshop for Wikipedians interested in gaining the knowledge and skills necessary to assist with GLAM-Wiki projects. It is being organized jointly by Wikimedia DC and the National Archives, with funding provided by the National Archives Foundation. The first GLAM Boot Camp was held in April 2013. Sessions will be led by Wikipedians experienced in working with cultural institutions on past partnerships. The purpose of GLAM Boot Camp is to enlarge the pool of Wikipedians working on GLAM projects by bringing into the fold Wikipedians who were interested but not yet involved. Travel expenses are covered for all attendees to allow for greater participation from Wikimedians all around the United States (or possibly North America)! If you are interested in attending, please fill out our interest form. Please submit your application by Sunday, May 15. |
