What are they?
QR codes are the latest version of bar codes - they look like random pixels arranged in a design typically about an inch square (see top right). If you have a smart (ie cost over 100 pounds) phone then you can point the camera at the code. The computer inside the phone decodes the picture into a web address. The phone then uses that web address to show you (say) a wikipedia article.
