The partnership between the State Library of NSW and Wikimedia Australia started with in-house Wiki training, and a program to write Wikipedia articles about current and historic NSW newspapers (those that are digitised in Trove). The Newspaper Project encompasses both List articles and articles on individual newspapers. The project includes creating/editing articles for NSW newspapers as they are digitised by the National Library of Australia as part of the Australian Newspapers Digitisation Program. A list article of over 2000 current and historic newspapers published in NSW was created as part of the project. |
