On Wikipedia you will find editors with many different backgrounds, nationalities, cultures, areas of interest, style, manners, viewpoints, and ways of interacting.
More likely than not, you will come across an editor who is very different than you, and sometimes you will find that person obtuse, insufferable, and annoying. Don’t take the bait or you could become obtuse, insufferable, and annoying to that person. And the cycle continues and intensifies.
That is why to enjoy Wikipedia as an editor, you need to grow a thick skin. Let the negativity roll off your back like water off a duck.
