Anacostia Community Museum Edit-a-thon

#ACMWiki - a Wikipedia edit-a-thon to improve and create Wikipedia articles about Anacostia and other neighborhoods south of the Anacostia River in Washington, D.C.

Organizers: Jennifer Morris, Archivist, Smithsonian Anacostia Community Museum Archives, Baasil Wilder, Librarian, Smithsonian Anacostia Community Museum Library, Diane Shaw, Smithsonian Libraries Cataloger, and Wikimedia DC.

All are welcome, lunch and coffee provided.

  • Check out the to-do list of article suggestions, handpicked by Smithsonian staff.
  • Resources from the Anacostia Community Museum Archives and the Smithsonian Libraries will be utilized, offline and online.
  • Contribute to existing articles or write new articles in whatever language.
  • Help your fellow contributors out - lend a hand when needed and help out new editors!
  • Even if you don't feel like writing about something on our to-do list, we welcome you to come.
  • Participants must be in good standing in the Wikimedia community.
