The result of the discussion was: no consensus. This is a fairly textbook example of a discussion failing to lead to consensus about the applicability of a broad range of policies invoked over the course of the discussion. I note that Robert McClenon offered to withdraw the nomination and revisit the quality of the portal in 90 days. Although no one seems to have responded to this offer, it is entirely within reason for any participant in this discussion to revisit the portal in that period of time and assess whether any improvement proposed by those preferring to keep the portal has actually been carried out. I further note that substantial activity has been undertaken at User talk:Scottywong/Portal guideline workspace since the initiation of this deletion discussion, which may yield greater clarity on which portals should be kept and which should be deleted on a broader scale going forward.
