- The affected articles have been placed under 1RR and semi-protection by the community.
- Other, binding restrictions that were proposed here did not achieve consensus support, and it is arguable that they are outside the scope of the RFC process anyway, which normally seeks voluntary solutions as a last step before involuntary solutions are needed.
- However it is certainly worth noting that several editors expressed shock at the idea of "punishing" POV pushing by deliberately slanting an article towards the opposite POV. By the same token, it also worth noting that several user felt this was more a matter of the intent behind the edits as opposed to the actual content of those edits. Nevertheless, La goutte de pluie is therefore advised to be very careful when editing any potentially controversial subject, especially if it is a BLP.
- Noting for the record that ANI threads on these matters [1] [2] apparently failed to reach any solid conclusion on La goutte de pluie specifically but did impose the more general sanctions noted above.
- The Arbitration Committee declined to hear a case on these issues, in large part because this discussion and others were still open when the request for arbitration was filed.
