Wikipedia:Requests for comment/Level one user warnings

Consensus is pretty clear: editors who have weighed in here support the new warnings, with the caveat that there were a number of "tweak this more" comments--some of which were tackled, others which may be tackled later on. DGG, Orlady, and WSC are kindly invited to help fine-tuning the warnings until they are smarm-free. With thanks to everyone who participated, to the data crushers in the basement of the Foundation, and to the folks of WMF for their continued interest in the work of us peons. Beginning in late summer last year, a new project to test improvements to user warnings was started as a taskforce of WikiProject user warnings. Its purpose was to try and update select user warnings to improve their ability to dissuade vandals and not bite newbies.
