Wikipedia:Stub

A stub is an article deemed too short and incomplete to provide encyclopedic coverage of a subject. As of 2024, almost half of Wikipedia's articles could be considered stubs.

This page provides a general guide for dealing with stubs: the first section, Basic information, contains information that is recommended for most users; and the second section, Creating stub types, contains more specialized material.

Existing stub categories can be found at Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/Stub types, as maintained by the WikiProject Stub improvement collaborative.
