Since its debut, Arrested Development has won and been nominated for a variety of awards. The series has been nominated for twenty-five Primetime Emmy Awards (six wins, including Outstanding Comedy Series in 2004), eight Television Critics Association Awards (three wins), three Golden Globe Awards (one win), three Writers Guild of America Awards (one win) and three Screen Actors Guild Awards. Series creator Mitchell Hurwitz won three Primetime Emmy Awards from six nominations for his role as a writer and producer of the series.
