To-do list for User Advocacy:
- Brainstorming: We need to plan and build awareness of the User Advocacy effort.
- Roadmap: User-accessible information the software roadmap is being drawn up.
- Features: A list of individual software features for for feedback is being prepared.
- VisualEditor: Research question and methodology proposals are being prepared.
- Volunteers: An audit of people, skills and resources available to the User Advocacy effor is being compiled.
The purpose the User Advocacy effort is:
- to advocate for greater understanding and consideration of Wikipedia user needs;
- to foster greater community awareness of the developers' tasks and challenges;
- to provide an information hub for user research, advocacy and communication;
- to organise community-led research into Wikipedia users and user practices.
The User Advocacy effort is in the motions of being established. Your help will be invaluable. Please see the to-do list for ways you can contribute.
