Wikipedia:WikiProject Blue Sky Studios is a WikiProject task force dedicated and committed to expanding articles, categories and finding reliable sources and expanding stubs relating to Blue Sky Studios, a former animation studio formerly owned by 21st Century Fox, but was sold to The Walt Disney Company in 2019 as a result of their acquisition of 21CF and was placed as a division of the Walt Disney Studios through 20th Century Animation. The studio was shut down by Disney in April 2021 as a result of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Despite this, Blue Sky Studios is still an important piece of the animation industry's history and leaves behind an important legacy. Disney still continues to use their original properties such as Ice Age and Rio for future projects. This subproject mainly includes media that was directly related to the studio during it's initial days of operation, however there are also sections listed here (referred to as “Affiliated articles”) for pages that did not have the studios' involvement, but were based on their original properties.
