Project
The WikiProject San Diego Padres was formed on August 23, 2009. Although the MLB is covered fairly well on Wikipedia, there is so much more that can be done! This project is dedicated to expanding the coverage of the San Diego Padres on Wikipedia, including the history, records, statistics, players, coaches, and any other subject that is related to San Diegos Team THE PADS!

If you feel that you can have a positive contribution to the project, please become a member by joining adding your name to the members If you don't know what to write or where to begin, or if you have doubts or ideas on how to improve an article, please address the project's discussion forum.

Goals
The project aims primarily to:
  • Create and improve articles whose content is connected to the San Diego Padres organization.
  • Set up consistent structural and graphical layouts for displaying information on these articles.

  • It is a page on an Padres player, past or present
  • It is a page on an Padres coach, past or present
  • It is a page on a member of Padres management or ownership, past or present
  • It is a page on an Padres broadcaster, past or present
  • It is a page on an Padres season
  • It is a page on a World Series, or other playoff series, the Padres were in
  • It is a page on a current Padres minor leaguer
  • It is a page on a former Padres prospect who was traded, but received ample media coverage in San Diego
  • It is a page on a current minor league affiliate, or past ones who affiliation with the Padres is notable
  • It is a page on a member of a minor league affiliates coaching staff, ownership, or management, past or present
  • It is a page on a book, television show, radio program, or movie featuring the Padres
  • It is a page on any other topic of interest to a Padres fan

The San Diego Padres WikiProject was created as an independent WikiProject and a Child WikiProject of WikiProject Baseball and WikiProject California on August 23, 2009. The MLB Project's Parent Wikiproject is WikiProject Sports, while the Californias Project's Parent WikiProject is WikiProject United States.
