This WikiProject is in its early stages. Entrance fee is two dollars. ;-) It will develop depending on how much support there is for this. I've been increasingly seeing the need for a wide project focusing on improving Frank Sinatra-related material and tieing a lot of different material together. It began when I developed his article to GA status in autumn last year, and during the research really found that Sinatra created his own world in a way. A staggering amount of topics associated with him from his own songs and albums and arrangers, to club venues and hotels, to films and Jewish activism. Many of the songs he performed and venues that he played at are articles I would consider developing anyway, so something which also invites others to collaborate and really draw up Sinatra's world and what could be included in this I think is much needed. Nobody has to really commit full-time to this, but a loosely coordinated project identifying and assessing articles and some sort of focus is the idea. I think one of the most enjoyable prospects for this will be drawing up the Wikipedia:WikiProject Frank Sinatra/Topics list and all articles associated with him. If somebody like Rihanna can have her own project, Sinatra should have a dozen wiki projects!♦ Dr. Blofeld 09:51, 5 August 2016 (UTC) |
