The following event has concluded. Please do not modify this page. Comments should be made on the talk page.

This Copy Editing Project Blitz was a one-week effort of the Guild of Copy Editors to reduce the number of articles of a chosen WikiProject that require copy editing, signified by the {{copyedit}} tag. Please make sure that you know how to copy edit and that you are familiar with the Simplified Manual of Style before you begin copy editing. The blitzes are under the purview of the Guild's coordinators. The lead coordinator for this blitz is Stfg (talk), and he is assisted by Torchiest (talk). If you have any questions, leave a message on the blitz's talk page. This blitz began on Sunday, December 16, 2012, 00:00 UTC and ended on Saturday, December 22, 2012, 23:59 UTC.

The goals of this blitz were to copy edit as many articles as possible from the group of wikipedia articles needing copy edit from January 2012. Awards will be given out to everyone who copy edits at least one of the target articles.

The blitz is open to all, and you do not need to be a member either of the Guild of Copy Editors to participate. However, you may want to consider joining the Guild, as membership has its benefits. For example, you can place a special "page in use" tag when you are copy editing, and another tag on the talk page when you finish. See the Templates page. Please visit the Guild or the main blitz page for more information.
