Bookofsecrets - I grew up hearing that our family had ties to Native Americans, but it never went beyond that. After doing genealogy research for the past 27 years I have come to discover that I have a tremendous amount of Native American blood. I'm in the process of learning about my Native American heritage, culture, and language. I'm also in the process of learning about my own nv-wa-ti.
This won't be my primary project, and I don't know much but did want to add a little. My wife is part Odawa through her maternal grandmother. I'm impressed at how well organised/structured it is, congrats Phaedriel! ++Lar: t/c03:44, 13 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This can be tough to accomplish here as so many of the cross-references for various historical entries on wikipedia contain misinformation (or just a serious lack of Native perspective). I'm a professional writer/editor (although remember--I'm not a scholar!), so I can help with style and making sure an article is balanced and communicates the big picture.[reply]
