Welcome to WikiProject Iran, a WikiProject that aims to collaboratively improve Wikipedia's articles related to Iran. If you are interested in participating in this important and ambitious task, we encourage you to join our board of editors by adding your name to the members page.
This project covers the creation, expansion and curation of articles related to Iran, its cantons, geography, history, economy, politics, society, people, culture and spirit. It aims to expand Wikipedia's resources on Iran in a fair and accurate manner. The project also serves as a centralized point of discussion for issues pertaining to Iran in Wikipedia.
Scope & Statistics
As of 10 November 2024, there are 73,523 articles within the scope of WikiProject Iran, of which 24 are featured and 173 are good articles. This makes up 1.06% of the articles on Wikipedia, 0.22% of all featured articles and lists, and 0.43% of all good articles. Including non-article pages, such as talk pages, redirects, categories, etc., there are 185,930 pages in the project.

Welcome to WikiProject Iran – a WikiProject set up to cooperate on all articles related to Iran and Iranians. The project covers the present and past of the Iranian cultural continent (Greater Iran or Greater Persia). The project was formed by Iranian Wikipedians on 18 March 2006. Its goals are to:
Improve the quality and quantity of Iran related articles, including improving Iran to featured article status.
Present a realistic view of Iran and the Iranian peoples in the world.
Make Wikipedia a primary and reliable source of Iran related information.
Present a $holistic view of Iran and its cultural satellites, and balance any biased information.
