Wikipedia guidelines were changed in 2022 to require that all sports biographies have at least one piece of WP:SIGCOV (not counting database entries such as NFL.com or Pro-Football-Reference.com). See WP:SPORTBASIC prong 5. In recent months, there have been efforts to draftify en masse sport substubs that do not comply with this requirement. E.g., pending RfC on cricket sub-stubs. Accordingly, we should prioritize improvement of American football biographies that could be targeted in a similar RfC. This list identifies some of the worst in terms of non-compliance. Everyone is encouraged to take on at least one of these articles (hopefully more) to expand and source. User names of the article creators are included not by way of criticism, as such substubs were permitted prior to the change in policy. Instead, the pings to article creators are intended as encouragement to improve these articles so as to avoid draftification or deletion.
