Major restructure of categories. Go to Category:Psychiatry and then follow the disorder subcategory to see the new structure. It follows DSM but not all the names are the same. All the psychiatric disorders in the list Mental illness (alphabetical list) have been allocated a suitable category with the exception of sadism and masochism since there does not yet appear to be an article on the disorders Sexual sadism and Sexual masochism. I didn't want to offend any BDSM types out there. --CloudSurfer 21:28, 7 Oct 2004 (UTC)

Please note that I have created Category:Symptom and Category:Sign (medicine) as subcategories of Category:Medicine. Please add these categories to any symptoms or signs. I believe some deserve both, such as Euthymia. Anyway, see what you all think. --CloudSurfer 21:37, 7 Oct 2004 (UTC)

Ganser syndrome new article. It's short so if you feel like adding to it, go for it. --CloudSurfer 08:29, 10 Oct 2004 (UTC)

I have listed Personality as a page needing attention. It reads like student "cram" notes, not an encyclopedia article. --CloudSurfer 09:35, 10 Oct 2004 (UTC)

Added "Current Thinking and Criticism" section to personality disorder. Am very poor at wikifying and am afraid to click on any of the buttons, my apologies. CloudSurf, can you please help me? Also, as my contribution to the topic may be controversial, I welcome any comments, modifications, additions, deletions, etc. Samvak 10 Oct 2004

I have added a table to the article on mental illness that shows the categories. Please have a look and see whether you think this is a good idea. If it is then we can use that for each of the categories. --CloudSurfer 06:40, 11 Oct 2004 (UTC)

It's a great idea. CloudSurfer, can you help with Anti-psychiatry? See my comment below.Samvak 14:36 12 Oct 2004

Added section "Challenging the concept of mental illness" to Anti-psychiatry. Tried to wikify with very modest success. Any help would be highly appreciated. Again, as my contribution to the topic may be controversial, I welcome any comments, modifications, additions, deletions, etc. Samvak 15:04 11 Oct 2004

Hi all. Interested for input and attention to the following: Institute of Psychiatry Maudsley Hospital Logorrhoea - This could do with splitting into two separate pieces; one on rhetorical use and one as a symptom of mental illness. Unsure how to do this correctly myself... Beck Depression Inventory Long-term memory semantic memory Labile affect Dissociation

Cheers! --PaulWicks 10:59, 25 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Major overhaul of DID intro. --Mjformica 00:17, 13 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My overhaul continues, not without ruffling feathers. User Zora is convinced that the article is POV, and errs on the side of the psychiatric establishiment. Anyone care to comment? --Mjformica 18:29, 14 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Continuing... --Mjformica 03:05, 2 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Could we have another pair of eyes (or more!) at Conversion disorder please? Thanks! --PaulWicks 16:16, 26 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Though it might not be strictly Psychology I think the Bully article could currently benefit from a little gentle, objective, supervision from editors with a good, solid, academic grounding in psychology before it gets out of hand --Zeraeph 14:54, 1 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
