Philadelphia Phillies all-time roster (D), which lists all players with surnames starting with the letter D. The Phillies are the oldest continuous, one-name, one-city franchise in all of professional American sports, dating to 1883.
Red Dooin was the Phillies' catcher for 13 seasons (1902–14). This
baseball card showing his portrait is held in the Library of Congress. The age of the team and its history of adversity have earned it the distinction of having lost the most games of any US sports team.
