Concerns about accuracy and consistency from Talk:Operation Varsity#"Largest in history"?: Operation Market Garden is defined as the largest airborne operation, while Varsity is defined as the largest single-drop airborne operation. The main page doesn't qualify this, which makes it inconsistent with the articles. Awickert (talk) 18:43, 24 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- The Market Garden page is a mess and needs an overhaul, but...ugh, it just gets bogged down in petty bickering. I dropped the ball on the intro, however, I didn't even notice it. Once I get back to my sources next week, I'll try and clarify everything. Skinny87 (talk) 18:52, 24 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- I added "single airborne drop" to the line. That is more in keeping with the actual line in the article (and of course more importantly, the facts). Parsecboy (talk) 18:53, 24 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- OK - thanks - I like the re-wording on the main page: "largest single airborne drop in history" gives it the oomph of being really big while being technically correct. The article is great, by the way. Awickert (talk) 19:08, 24 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
