Wilbur Herschel Jennings (June 27, 1944 – September 6, 2024) was an American lyricist.[1][2] He was known for writing the songs "Up Where We Belong", "Higher Love", "Tears in Heaven" and "My Heart Will Go On".[3] He was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame and won several awards including three Grammy Awards, two Golden Globe Awards, and two Academy Awards.[4]
