William Frederick Mayers

William S. Frederick Mayers (7 January 1831–1878) was a British diplomat, numismatist, writer, and sinologist.[1] He served as vice-consul in China and wrote extensively on the region. He was a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society from 1861.
