Willie Hoppe

William Frederick Hoppe (October 11, 1887 – February 1, 1959) (surname rhymes with "poppy"[1][2][3]), was an internationally renowned American professional carom billiards champion. Hoppe is widely considered one of the greatest billiards players of all time and was posthumously inducted into the Billiard Congress of America Hall of Fame in 1966.
