Wrack is a novel written by Australian author James Bradley. It was first published in 1997 by Random House Australia.[1] The novel centres around archaeologist David Norfolk as he searches for a Portuguese shipwreck off the coast of New South Wales. Wrack is Bradley's first published work of fiction and has been nominated for various awards including the Miles Franklin Award[2] and Australia's Commonwealth Writer's Prize for Best First Book.[3]

Wrack was selected by the Board of Studies, Teaching and Educational Standards to be included in the list of prescribed texts for English in the Higher School Certificate from 1999 to 2000[4] as well as from 2015 to 2018.[5]
