Yukishige Okubo (大久保 潔重, Ōkubo Yukishige, born March 12, 1966) is a Japanese politician of the Democratic Party of Japan, a fmember of the House of Councillors in the Diet (national legislature). A native of Isahaya, Nagasaki and graduate of Nagasaki University, he had served in the assembly of Nagasaki Prefecture since 2003. After running unsuccessfully for the House of Representatives in 2005, he was elected to the House of Councillors for the first time in 2007.
